Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani-Peruvian Muay Thai fighter and mixed martial artist and currently competes at the UFC flyweight division. She is the elder sister of the fellow UFC fighter and former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko's combat sport career began as an Muay Thai competitor. Shevchenko debuted on the IFMA World Championship Tournament in 2003. Shevchenko took the title and then defeated Suzane Mller on a unanimous vote. Antonina was able to follow it up, and received a silver award in 2007 a bronze medal in 2008 a gold medal in 2011 as well as the year-end 2016 IFMA Amateur Muay Thailand World Champion. Antonia began her professional life in 2003. She was the winner of the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship in 2012, the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship in 2016 and then the WMC as well as the Phoenix FC World Championships in 2016. Antonina was a part of Isa TIDBLAD Keskikangas' fight in her last match in the Phoenix Fighting Championship. She was victorious by the unanimous verdict. Shevchenko defeated Anissa via unanimous decision and then defeated Valerie Domergue at Phoenix FC 4. She was let go of the competition and started Dana White's Contender Series 2018. Shevchenko faced Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina employed her impressive punching skills for the fight to TKO Nievera in the clinch through knees that hit the body. After this win, Antonina received the opportunity to sign a UFC contract. Antonina made her UFC debut during the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale, to be fought by Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko defeated Roxanne Modafferi in a split-decision fight. She won the initial fight via unanimous decision. Antonina bounced back from losing to knock out Lucie Pudilova by choking her back in a rear-naked submission during the second round of UFC on ESPN Covington Vs. Lawler. She earned the extra fight of the night for this fight. Shevchenko went 2-2 in the following three fights. She beat Ariane Lipski, and lost to Katlyn Chokagian as well as Andrea Lee. Antonina has been defeated recently by Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos -Walker.
